    Northline are seeking an enthusiastic AM Shift Team Leader to support our AM Operations Manager and Supervisor in ensuring the seamless unloading and loading of linehaul trailers, containers, and PUD vehicles. This role involves leading a dedicated team, operating machinery safely, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

    This is the perfect opportunity for a hands-on leader, looking to take the next step in their career in transport and logistics!

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Efficient Operations: Oversee the unloading of units and trailers, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of freight.
    • Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with the AM Operations Manager and Supervisor to guide the AM Forklift Operators, maintaining safety, accuracy, and minimal damage.
    • Resource Utilization: Optimize the use of AM Operations and PUD resources to meet customer expectations and Northline’s targets.
    • Load Management: Ensure effective loading of PUD vehicles and unloading of inbound linehaul units with understanding of load restraint and legislative requirements.
    • Compliance: Monitor contractor driver compliance and scanning accuracy, maintaining a high standard of 98% accuracy.
    • Performance Monitoring: Review and address issues like damages, lost freight, and performance shortfalls, managing poor performance and staff absences.

    Key Competencies & Technical Requirements:

    • Safety Commitment: Strong focus on Health, Safety & Environment practices.
    • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience in the freight industry, with a customer-centric approach.
    • Supervision Skills: Proven ability to lead team members effectively and make fair, consistent decisions.
    • Relationship Management: Experience in building and maintaining relationships with team members and contractors.
    • Performance Achievement: Track record of meeting KPIs and targets.
    • Positive Attitude: A proactive, “can-do” approach with excellent time management and adaptability.
    • Technical Proficiency: Competency with Microsoft Office and a Forklift Licence (LF).
